SPORTS MASSAGE - prices from £23

From initial assessment including range-of-movement testing, through massage therapy,  to post-treatment and stretching exercises,  Fliss offers a complete range of sports massage treatments.  Sports massage is not limited to professional athletes and can be used in conjunction with Pilates sessions to help alleviate your aches and pains and postural concerns.

  • General Treatment  -  Our day to day lives put our bodies under strain, and cause aches and pains which can affect our posture and flexibility.   A sports massage can be beneficial to everyone.   Your massage treatment will be tailored to your specific requirements, working on your areas of concern or injury.
Sports massage helps to increase the blood flow around the body, which leads to increased levels of oxygen and nutrients being supplied to the body tissues and also improving muscle flexibility.   It can help to break down muscle adhesions and scar tissue, and will also aid in removing lactic acid and other metabolic wastes.
  • Injury treatment  -  After an initial period of rest following an injury, massage can help aid the body's healing processes, break down scar tissue and improve muscle strength, length and flexibility.
  • Pre-event  -  Massage can be performed directly before an event as part of your warm up and preparing your body to perform at its best.   It can also be used over time as part of your training as a way to help improve body condition in the build up to an event.
  • Post event  -  Massage after an event or competition can help the body tissues recover and return to their pre-event state.
